RLSC Female Members taking part in Aspiring Powerboat Instructor Programme

Five female members from our club have signed up to be part of an Aspiring Female Powerboat Instructor programme, which is being run by RYA Midlands.

In the Midlands Region, there is currently no female Powerboat Trainer and only a small number of female powerboat instructors. The aim of the programme is to support a group of females from across the Midlands to build their confidence and powerboating skills to prepare them to become Powerboat Instructors.

During the programme, they will be further developing their powerboat skills and will be provided the opportunity to practice in a variety of different sizes and models of powerboats, at several venues. In addition, they will be learning basic navigational skills.

The WOW sessions on Friday evenings at Rudyard will also provide practice time for our budding instructors. We wish them all good luck on their journey to becoming Powerboat Instructors.
