There is an active racing scene at the club, with a number of racing series throughout the year for all levels of experience.

A wide range of dinghy classes are sailed at Rudyard. The most popular class on race days is the Solo and we have a fast growing group of Laser sailors.

In the Spring we run an Endurance Series. Races take place on Sundays at 11.30, 13.30 and 15:15

From April we also run a Wednesday Evening pursuit race starting at 7.30 The first three races will start at 7pm. On Wednesdays, there is also a more informal sailing at 15:30 for those that would like to develop their skills or start racing.

The Main season starts late April. The First race of the day is at 11.30 and is a pursuit series. After lunch at 13.30 we have the main handicap race of the season (Folkes Series) where all boats start together. At 15.15 the final race of the day is a Mass Start.

In the summer (June/July) we change the Sunday format slightly. In the mornings we hold Jybaz (junior) sessions followed by racing in the afternoon.

In August/September we revert to a three race format.

The later part of the season sees an Autumn Leaves Series with starts at 11.30, 13.30 and 15.15

One Sunday per month we hold a one-off regatta aimed especially at beginners. We hold several two day regattas on Bank Holiday weekends with three races each day.
