Members Day Report

What can I say! What a turn out!!!
It was windy. It was a bit wet at times, and it wasn't the warmest of days but from the word "go" everyone who visited or helped really made the day what it was. We had Paddleboards and boats on the water with all the thrills and the occasional spills. We had good food and the atmosphere was wonderful.
As many will know we also held an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) where we needed a percentage of members to come and cast their vote in person to enable us to make some changes to the way we run the club. So, also a heartfelt thanks to all those members who came and cast their valuable votes.
And from me a heartfelt thanks you to you all. I am sure to miss out someone, this old brain can and does often get a bit forgetful so I'm not going to mention anyone specifically in my summing up. I will however say quite simply every single person involved in any way shape or form made the day absolutely magnificent. I have had so many messages and words of thanks from people who came and had a good time that I feel quite humbled by it all. And I have to say is that the credit should not go to me. It should go to everyone. I will however say a few specific words of thanks to the BBQ group and the people both on and off the water who not only fed us but provided help and assistance and above all FUN to our visitors and members alike. Thank you to everyone who brought salads and cakes.
We are all volunteers, we all put ourselves out to make Rudyard the club that it is, and we should all give ourselves a huge pat on the back.
