New Years Day Resolution Race

The New Years Day Resolution Race was a great success. A new event for 2024, This event was a 1 hour pursuit style event which had 3 Solos, 2 Lasers and the RS400 making 7 sailors start the first event of the year.

Luckily the weather behaved after a wet and stormy Christmas period with sunshine at the start of the race and the wind picking up to a pleasant breeze halfway through the event.

As well as the racers, a few other club members come down to see the year start as we mean to go on, made a good social event before and after the sailing.

The racing was competitive with Mike Raine taking his first win of the year, followed by Janey, with the RS400 coming through the field to take 3rd. Simon and Pete had a battle for the best Laser ahead of Claire.

A nice event that hopefully will become an annual event.
