Commentary

Galley coffee shop

Responses overwhelmingly positive but some scepticism remains, mainly due to wait times and perceived prioritisation of the public over members. 21 positive / 6 negative

Jybaz

lots of positive feedback on Jybaz with a couple of comments about developing a pathway to racing for younger members.

SUP

Positive responses on this with nothing explicitly negative about the introduction of SUPing (save a couple re integrating SUPpers more or encouraging them to perform duties). 12 positive / 0 negative

Sailing Training

positive comments from those who've taken part in training but a general perception that more training opportunities are needed, along with a clearer development pathway.

Socials

Social events and non-sailing activities positive comments re Jybaz Christmas party and the trophy dinner. Some support for more varied socials that bring in more members.

Volunteering

Volunteer opportunities and duties perception that volunteer pool needs to be widened and that the process for allocation and organisation of duties needs improving. Also one or two mentions of the club needing to know how to make the most of its members' talents/what members can offer.

Communication

a clear theme around the need for improved communication to members on all subjects and for the website (or social media
channels) being reliably kept up-to-date. Several comments on increasing transparency/navigability of the website. 2 positive / 22 negative

Racing

racers are keen for more of a focus on this area (including converting novices/leisure sailors to racers) and on encouraging more members on to the water generally. More than half of racers mentioned improving comms/making better use of social media/website for racing reports/results etc. Theme around organisation/logistics around racing?
