Welcome to the Rudyard Lake Sailing Club Youth Section
– known as Jybaz.
Jybaz offers young children the chance to gain confidence
in the water and have fun at a new hobby whilst staying safe.
Children of all skill levels are
welcome.
You don’t need to have your own boat to join in the fun as the Club has a range of boats that are used for training on the Jybaz days.
We welcome all age ranges, in 2011 we had children from age 5 up to 18 join
the team. You are never too young to
start.
Saturdays are the
usual days for
Jybaz sailing when generally
the club facilities are dedicated to the activities of the
Jybaz members.
We build our skills through the year following a wide range of courses
starting with stages 1-4 of the RYA Youth Scheme and moving on to the RYA Advanced
Skills courses such as Start Racing and Seamanship Skills.
The timetable for each Jybaz Training Day is:

From 9.30 am sailing club
will be open

At 10.00 am Daily Briefing
Ø
Lunch at approximately 12.30 – hot lunches from our Galley available
Ø
4.00pm off the water and boats to be put away Our 2012 season starts in March and concludes in October.
